The Your Life survey is a self assessment tool for clients. It allows clients to tell you how important each of the 8 Dimensions of Wellbeing are to them, and how they believe they are currently tracking towards living a life aligned to that dimension.

What is the Life Score?

The Your Life Score is a snapshot in time as to how the client is tracking to live their best life based on what they deem as their most important personal dimensions of wellbeing.

The survey asks the client up to two questions across the 8 Dimensions of Wellbeing.

  1. Financial
  2. Intellectual
  3. Occupational
  4. Physical
  5. Social
  6. Environmental
  7. Emotional
  8. Spiritual

Firstly, the client is asked how important a values related statement is to them to live their best life.

The client then ranks the importance on a scale of 1 (not important at all) to 10 (critical).

If they rank the statement above neutral (5) they are then asked the second question. This question asks the client to rate how close they are to living their best life in regards to the statement (progress), with 1 being not at all and 10 already living their best life.

Once the client sets the progress they will be presented with a second survey question for the dimension of wellbeing.

Once the client has completed all 8 dimensions of wellbeing and the accompanying questions, the client will be presented with:

  • A summary of the survey
  • Their Your Life score
  • The top 2 areas of success
  • Top 2 areas to improve
  • A graph that identifies Your progress vs Your Importance

The overall Life Score is calculated using these inputs based on the below calculation:

Life Score = Wellbeing Dimension Current Progress towards Best Life Score Total ( send end for further details)

The Graphs

The importance of each dimension and the client's progress determines the graph below. Each quadrant represents the client's progress and importance. Anything that has a big circle represents the Top 2 areas of Success or the Top 2 areas to Improve based on the findings.

You can easily identify the dimensions of wellbeing that are important to the client and how they are progressing using the below graph .

Your Life Score

The overall Life Score is calculated using these inputs based on the below calculation:

Life Score = Wellbeing Dimension Current Progress towards Best Life Score Total

For our example the Life Score is calculated as:

8 + 4 + 7 + 5.5 + 7 + 6.5 + 5.5 / [number of dimensions with at least one valid critical score]

= 43.5 / 7

= 62.142% which is then rounded up to 63%
